Star Grips: golf grips for tapeless installation
Star Grips pioneered tapeless grip installation more than 30 years ago. The grips have a particularly high rubber content and are therefore very elastic. With the Star Grip Installation Gun they are installed with compressed air in less than 10 seconds – no grip tape, no solvent and ready to play at once. All models have a symmetrical 360° design without logo and are therefore perfect for adjustable drivers and woods.
The models
- Sidewinder 360°: textured grip with an S pattern for firm control and cord-like feedback.
- Classic Wrap: soft, very tacky wrap grip with a perforated design.
- Tour Star+ 360: like the Classic Wrap but with less taper – relieves hands and joints.
- Smoothee: smooth wrap grip without perforation with a retro look.
The right size
Depending on the model, Star Grips are available in undersize, standard, midsize and oversize. Undersize suits smaller hands, standard most golfers, midsize and oversize large hands or golfers with joint problems.
The alternative to Pure Grips
Pure Grips are no longer produced. Star Grips are the obvious alternative: also seamless, with a high rubber content and tapeless installation. Instead of the Pure Pro or DTX we recommend the Sidewinder 360°, instead of the Pure Wrap the Classic Wrap. More about Pure Grips
